wont they be doing and ECU check? if so that rules out the smarty being on the half-power setting. also i bought my truck with the chip intake and straight piped exhaust. so in a legal stand point i could sue the state of california into buying my truck because it was sold legally and now its illegal... and this should be the same with tuners, chips , etc... anything they outlaw that was legal before the law passes....right?

sounds like a good lawyer is needed for that argument. pry at the ambiguity of the law. ;)

I was told a couple weeks ago by a friend of mine who is a Ca certified smog tech that the diesel smog testing will be postponed until January 2012. He said that due to the fact that it costs every smog shop in this state 4200 bucks to send their smog tech to do the training and the way the economy is, that is the reasoning behind the postponement of the diesel smog testing in this state.

Like I said before, I heard it from a friend of mine who works as a smog tech at an auto repair shop nearby. I'm gonna talk to him later this week to find out if there's any updates about it and I will post up what I find in this thread.
