Hi from Fairfield
« on: January 28, 2012, 07:53:14 PM »
Hi all
I was a member here in the past but no longer have my old email. (It was several years ago) I have owned 2 different 2001s (auto and a HO) and I am now looking for a third one now. Maybe a 12 valve this time. Anyways I know Brett Erik and Adam real well and cant say enough good about them down at Left Coast Diesel.

Small world! Almost eight years ago I met Tom when he came over to my house in Vallejo, and with a bunch of other guys helped me turn my home built upside down Tolman Skiff right side up!

Man time goes by quicker and quicker. Back then we was in the same fishing club. The truck I had back then looked just like the one you have now only it was an 01. Now I want one exactly like yours. I think white is my favorite color on these trucks. I wanna me find another white one only this time a 12v.

Tell me about it how time flies!

I still kind of miss the old BARF (Bay Area Recreational Fishermen) group/site.  Some of those guys have passed on. Sal is one I miss. Used to love reading his tales...

I kinda fell into this truck. An old friend in Santa Barbara got me interested in Cummins powered trucks, and then told me about a friend of his who was thinking about selling. I pestered them both for a year until the previous owner finally, said, fine, come get it.  Flew down there, paid for it, and drove back weaving from side to side with that fantastic  :o Dodge Steering. Got 18 mpg cruising at 75. Of course the truck wouldn't get out of it's own way. Had to get a running start to climb a couple of hills...
