Hello from Sonoma County
« on: February 21, 2011, 07:54:57 PM »
First off great website and I am glad it is something more local than world wide.  I am in the market for a ford 95-97 crew cab with a powerstroke. I am into older vw bugs and enjoy drag racing them. I was also into the suzuki samurai rock crawling thing as well. I look forward to spending a ton of time on here !

I have a 65 bug that was a daily driver. Had a small 2028 8:1 pump gas motor in it. Wanted to go fast so i tore the damn thing apart to put a cage and some other stuff in it. Well once it turned into a big project it sat on the back burner. I will get ir all back together soon i hope !

Whats done to your thing ?

Almost thought i found a truck but turned out to be a dually.

Went and looked at a 97 CC Dually tonight but did not like it.  I really do not want a dually.  The nail in the coffin though was the reddish burgandy interior on a silver and white truck.  It just did not do it for me.   Still lookin and READY to buy !!

I drove the bug every day and got about 23mpg.  Ran on shitty 87oct gas and it would run 12.70's at 104 all day long.  It will be faster once I get the pile a crap back together !
