BIG turbo!!!

i have narrowed it down to 4 turbos...... big bad woof (high tech)....garret GTP38R (powermax).... the BD thruster turbo.....phat stroker (industrial injection) they are close in price and have some different things....all have 88mm compressor.... please help

must dyno....last dyno was a shitty 276 hp at 10 lbs boost and on old mods!
future...rebuilt 7.3 with a nasty set of twins
have to stay true to the ford!!!

i would say.......buy a dodge! lol......i would go with the garret GTP38R or phat stroker. but i dont really know of the other ones.

Alex.....03 dodge cummins, 6" super lift bilstien shocks, Goerend tranny, afe brute force air intake system, psc steering stabilizer, 4\'\' custom spray\'d black stright pipe to 8" stack, spray\'d black grill, 7 color glow shift gauges, AD150, smarty tnt-R, S&B air horn, limo on all back windows, 35% driver and passenger, then limo wide screen on front windshield. custom air horn set-up off of one of my semi-trucks, 35/12.50/17mud grapplers...... (next...turbo, injectors, cp3, and some head work.)

425 horsepower
852 torque  

GOAL 650-750HP

I would stay away from II for a for turbo

no ive never messed with 7.3 turbos lol.  for your injector size i would just change your exhaust housing to a 1.00.  get some more flow out of it.  or if you want to spend the money get the gt38.  i can set you up with some guys that have went through all of that and can help you.  my friend has your same injectors and put down 420 on a somewhat mild tune.  honestly it seems like you have other issues.  if your turbo only hit 10psi on that dyno run you have some leaks somewhere.  i would pressure test the system and look for exhaust leaks on your up pipes and flanges.

Basically all those turbos are exactly the same except for the garret, the garret is proven to work all the others ughh not too many out their for a reason.
2008 3500 6.7 3600 dd clutch, all stock other than what I have changed :D

in what I hear, I would say the garret or the II...... no others....but the h2e is a great turbo too.

although with my 6.0, I used 3 different II turbos, all that failed..... so I say garret

I think the hole dyno run at LCD was just not good timing for my truck... I was the first truck, I just got there, I had stacked edges and I should of never did that cause they fought, the first a second run I had good boost levels the
3rd was when I lost boost....would that make a difference?!?

My hole thing with the Garret is that the rebuild kit cost just as much as the turbo and the BD turbo is half the cost, the fords boost levels are not that high for a bb, but I don't want a POS... Lol I thing I like the Garret... Thanks guys.... Matt I could use some help with ideas and what not...lol

the II turbo is no longer made i just got off the phone with them lol.  are you upgrading injectors anytime soon?  if your bearings are all good and wheels are ok then i would just change exhaust housing.  you already have the upgraded wheel.  you will make more power.
